ESI is a privately held company with headquarters in Plano, Texas, just outside of Dallas. Rapid growth, stable management and innovative technology have characterized ESI since its founding in 1987. In May of 1993, ESI moved into a spacious facility that houses both its headquarters and its manufacturing operation. ESI designs and manufactures high efficiency, low cost business telephone products. These products have earned numerous product awards from industry publications.
IVX Class I n 1995, after several years of success in producing voice mail products, ESI used its advanced voice storage and DSP software development skills, combined with phone system hardware design expertise, to create the IVX® All-In-One Digital Phone System — the first telephone/voice mail system based on a single processor.Its great success led in 1999 to the introduction of the larger and even more fully featured IVX 128 system. ESI became an early leader in the exploding VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) marketplace in 2001 when after years of extensive research and testing, it began shipping an IVX Series model that could be upgraded to deploy VoIP. Also ESI released in 2002, Esi-Link — offering multi-location customers the convenience and cost savings of networked communications. These VoIP solutions are unique in their simplicity of support and administration. In 2003, ESI began shipping an all-new generation of business phone systems — E-Class and S-Class — and, in 2004, these highly successful products were further enhanced with the Generation II feature set, which offers even greater application flexibility. The new, larger X-Class system also was announced in 2004, along with VIP — a call management solution which lets users manage their voice mail. The IVX E-Class Generation II and X-Class systems are ESI’s flagship products. Each offers a selection among multiple Digital Feature Phones, cost-effective expansion capabilities, automated attendant, automated call distribution (ACD), and voice mail. Also, these systems boast extensive expandability, with up to 252 call-processing ports and up to 420 hours of voice storage, along with support for T1, ISDN PRI, and TAPI computer/telephony integration (CTI). IP capabilities can be added to IVX X-Class and IVX E-Class, allowing existing customers to benefit from VoIP technology as the need arises. ESI Communications Servers An ESI Communications Server is a fully flexible platform. It can be as digital-based, IP-based, or combined (digital- and IP-based) as you require. ESI has valuable experience with this technology: They were one of the first in our industry to create purely IP-based phone systems, as well as to add IP capability to digital systems. All ESI Feature Phone models, both digital- and IP-based, provide advanced ESI phone features. This lets you tailor the phone choice to each user’s individual needs. ESI Digital Feature Phones provide superb, proven performance, and quickly plug into any digital phone jack. Want to save yourself the trouble and expense of wiring new phone outlets? ESI’s state-of-the-art IP Feature Phones work from anywhere on your network. They also can go to most remote sites with broadband service, so executives and others can work from home while still having access to the office phone system and ESI features.
